Who is a female inspiration/role model to you, and why?

Multiple women have inspired me in my life, But my biggest role model has been my mother. She is a force in herself and has beaten all odds. Having lost her husband at a young age, she took the courage to raise her five daughters independently. She taught us to believe in ourselves and inspired me to see the magic of being dynamic and unlocking possibilities.

During my journey at JLL, I have come across many exceptional women leaders. It has always been inspiring to see how women leaders make their way to the top across functions and geographies.

Why does inclusion matter to you?

Socially relevant businesses cannot grow without representing the society they are meant for. Diversity and inclusion are an absolute necessity for the best outcome. Employees are far more productive and innovative when they feel included and valued. Every individual has a unique talent. Inclusion provides one with opportunities to unleash that and bring out the best version of oneself. It allows everyone to make the most of their lives and add to a group’s collective strength.

How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?

As a leader in JLL, it never bothers me what gender, caste or community I belong to, and it is the most significant sign of being free from all bias. However, I do acknowledge that women carry the additional load of managing family responsibilities while pursuing careers. Therefore, I support all my women colleagues in accommodating their other priorities while focusing on work, balancing both worlds smoothly.

Being a mother of two children, I have come a long way with the help of the entire social system around. I encourage all women to ask for support when they need it and not assume that they are in this alone.
